My desire for a puppy is growing. I've been looking around. I'm not sure if I want a doxie again or a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Some puppies became available in the area but we are going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I wouldn't want to leave the puppy. So, I have to wait.
Of course, Mr. B is trying to tell me I don't have time for a puppy. That I have a hard enough time getting my stories finished in a timely matter. True. But I still want a puppy.

Maybe go to the pound/shelter and find a little bit older dog? One that is already house trained?
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get a new dog, but at least I get "visitation rights" with one of my sister's dog once or twice a week hehe. And the next two weeks I'm house & dog sitting for my other sister and shhhhh... I screw up his sleep schedule & let him sleep on the bed with me (he isn't aloud on the bed).

Our local shelter is kind of weird. You can't see the dogs and find a connection with one. They require the person to fill out a form and then they pick out the dog for you.
DeleteTell him that having a dog will help with the stories and story ideas. It will put you in a zen head space where everything will just flow like a steady river.
