I'm a little late today. Mr. B had his 6 month checkup on his knee replacement. He wanted me to go along so we could accomplish some errands. At the doctor's I told on him and he told on me. The end result is that we both have to attend a couple of physical therapy sessions to smooth out a few hiccups.
Imagine my surprise when we finished our errands and he informs me that we need to go downtown to a jewelry store. Apparently, as a retirement gift he is to receive a watch from his company. I've never turned down visiting a jewelry store in my life.
Once we arrived at the store, Mr. B informs the clerk that he doesn't want the watch. That he wants the money value to go toward jewelry for me. Wow!!!
Of course, as a respectable woman, I ended up spending a bit of money on top of the watch money. You have to understand that Mr. B and I were very young and broke when we picked out my wedding set. The diamond was a canhardly. Can hardly see it. Over thirty years later, Mr. B has now replaced that tiny diamond with a big one. Wow!! The tiny diamond will be mounted on the wide gold band Mr. B gave me years ago for giving him 3 beautiful children. I wear the band adjacent to my wedding set. What a wonderful surprise. He did good. I adored that man 30 years ago and I still adore him now. Probably more.
