Today is release day for The Medic Finds His Home (Rescue for Hire West). I have to say this story haunted me. I have never had a story that told itself while I worked on a different one, I had a voice recorder nearby at all times and kept describing the scenes into it. For the first time, I knew the story from start to finish. When I say I had that recorder with me at all times, I mean it. I even had to bring it into the shower a couple of times.
That being said, now I'm wondering what people think. My mind tells me that it's obvious that either people will love it or absolutely hate how emotional it is. This is the classic question we all have. Can a person deeply love and be attracted to someone for who they are, despite disabilities? I love the connection between Reese and Lee. I still think about the scene with the girl. I hope I conveyed the team and Roman coming to a conclusion they never wanted.
So I will brace myself, and ask for your comments. I really want to know what you think.
This story hit me right in the heart. From Reece at the cemetery to Lee dealing with Reece and his disability. You did a wonderful job with this story. I hope we will see Reece and Lee again in the future.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, JoAnn. Reese and Lee will have a cameo appearance in the next story.
DeleteI have just finished reading Reese and Lee's story and I loved it. It was emotional from the beginning to the end. You wrote this story beautifully. I am sad that Reese left but so happy for him and Lee. Thank you Bellann.

DeleteJust finished reading The Medic Finds His Home and like all your stories, I thought it was amazing. It broke my heart to see All the pain Reese goes through.. And even though in the end Reese and Lee are happy together it's bittersweet to see him leave the RFHW family.. Hope we see him in upcoming RFHW stories...
